Interviewing Tips

In a job interview, there is little time to get to know each other and there’s a lot of information to be exchanged. We want to help you succeed. Since we take the employment partnership seriously, we offer the following suggestions if you are called in for an interview.

At IHFA, your interview of us is just as important as our interview of you. Your interview should tell you whether we are the employer of your choice.

Know who we are and what we do. Do research and demonstrate your knowledge of IHFA’s products and services. To further increase your knowledge of IHFA, visit our corporate Web site. We really like this!
Be on time for the interview and dress professionally. Allow plenty of time for the interview. We suggest you allow at least one hour. Don’t make appointments immediately after.
"I really want this job" is not enough of a statement. Explain why you want to work for IHFA, specifically, why you want this job and how this job fits into your career plans.
Keep your answers to our questions relevant and concise. Be truthful and consistent.
Ask us questions. This tells us that you are interviewing us, too. We want you to know everything possible about the job and our company. It also allows us to clarify.

Please note that these suggestions are meant to provide insight and enhance the process. While we wish you the best of luck, we cannot guarantee that you will be hired.
