Private and Other Government Grants

IHFA searches out and acts on other grant opportunities that best serve the housing needs of limited income Idahoans. Due to these efforts, IHFA has received funding to provide technical assistance to nonprofit housing sponsors, as well as allocations of Section 8 funding designated for special need populations.

The Idaho Housing and Finance Association has also assisted communities in obtaining private foundation grant funds to help serve their homeless populations. IHFA has recently secured federal and other funding for housing for persons with AIDS. Efforts are underway for equipment and software to help build the technological capabilities of nonprofit housing organizations.
