Interim Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing and Community Resources

The Interim 2009 Idaho Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing and Community Resources is a report commissioned by the Idaho Housing and Finance Association and the Idaho Department of Commerce. Work on the preliminary report and the statewide stakeholder survey was performed by Interaction Consulting International, Inc.

Preliminary results are available for public review and comment, and the report findings will ultimately inform collaborative development and implementation of a statewide Fair Housing Plan. Phase I of the report describes perceived barriers to ‘affirmatively furthering fair housing’ and/or to ‘cooperation and collaboration’ among Idaho’s diverse stakeholders. Phase II will more aggressively analyze the relationship between demographic and federal funding distribution, among other data, to insure regulatory compliance.

While this draft represents a starting point, a revised and expanded Analysis of Impediments is planned for late 2010 upon receipt of new regulatory guidance from HUD and information from the U.S. Census and other sources.
