Fall Housing Conference Attracts Experts to Boise Sept. 7-9
BOISE - Housing experts and advocates will gather to shape
Idaho's future housing strategy at the 1997 Governor's Conference on
Housing, set for September 7 – 9 in Boise. The conference theme,
"Pathways, Partners, Solutions," reflects the cooperation
and common direction required to create effective housing
opportunities for all Idahoans.
"This conference is an opportunity to match housing needs with
solutions, and to share innovative ideas so that they might be carried
to completion," Gov. Batt said. "If you seek solutions to
your community's housing needs, this is a good first step."
Other conference highlights include a presentation Tuesday Sept. 9
by Judith Knight, Director of Housing and Community Development for
the American Banker's Association (ABA). Ms. Knight served on Capitol
Hill for the House Banking Committee and worked in Government and
Community Relations with Freddie Mac before joining the ABA.
