After the speeches, Sarah will hand out scissors to
the speakers. All four will step towards the ribbon hung in front of
the entrance to the community center. Ribbon is cut. Crowd applauds.
Gerald’s closing remarks and offer to tour the property and units.
Setup
Proposed setup is to have speakers on the south side
of the path that leads to the community center, audience on the north
side of the path. Speakers will stand in front of a table, which will
have a floral arrangement on it, as well as the scissors.
Press Kits
These will be mailed on June 23 and followed-up on 28.
Each will contain a News Release on the event (including the Senior
Fair sponsored by Colliers International), a fact sheet on the
property, interviews set up with senior resident(s) and speakers, and
an invitation to the event. Program agendas listing the speakers will
be handed out at the event.
Invitations
Designed by IHFA and mailed on June 17 to the
following groups: Thomas Dev’t. names (builder, architect, etc.),
Region #3 public officials, legislators, IHFA board, IHFA legislative
advisors, governor, housing task force, state constitutional officers,
Housing Coordination Policy group, community action agencies, tax
credits list, Nampa dedication list
Food
Punch and cookies will be provided inside the
community center. IHFA will also provide premiums (jar openers) in a
basket inside the community center.
Photographer
Pam Benham will be on site to take photos for future
brochures and annual report. She will photograph event, as well as the
interior and exterior of the property.
