Lieutenant Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter and Mayor Maxine Horn
will attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Nampa’s Maryland Village
BOISE – Lieutenant Governor C.L.
"Butch" Otter and Mayor Maxine Horn will attend the
ribbon-cutting ceremony of Nampa’s Maryland Village—a new
development for low- to moderate-income seniors—June 30 (Wednesday)
at 10 a.m.
The development was funded in part by Low-Income
Housing Tax Credits and HOME Program funds, administered by IHFA.
In addition to Lt. Governor Otter and Mayor Horn,
Gerald Hunter, president and executive director of the Idaho Housing
and Finance Association, and Tom Mannschreck, a consultant with Thomas
Development, are scheduled to speak about the development and its role
in affordable housing in Canyon County.
Following the ribbon-cutting, the public and media are
invited to tour the property and units, and attend a senior fair
sponsored by Colliers International, property managers of Maryland
Village.
Directions to Maryland Village:
- Take 12th Avenue in Nampa south to Greenhurst (Albertson’s
shopping center).
- Turn left (east) onto Greenhurst and follow it to the four-way
stop at Sunnyridge Road.
- Turn left (north) onto Sunnyridge Road and watch for the
Maryland Village banners. Turn left into the development’s
driveway.
- Ribbon-cutting will be held at the community center.
