Finally Home! Home Buyer Education Classes Start in Pocatello on Wednesday (April 5)

POCATELLO –Finally Home! classes will take place each Wednesday in April (April 5, 12, 19 and 26) from 7 – 9 p.m., the Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education, Inc. (IPHBE) announced today. Students should pre-register for the month-long series by contacting Pocatello Neighborhood Housing Services at 232-9468.

The classes are specifically designed to teach first-time home buyers everything they need to know about buying a home—from how to qualify for a mortgage with bad credit or no credit and how much cash is needed for closing, to how to choose a Realtor® and how to make an offer.

Students who complete the class may be eligible for special incentives such as down-payment and closing cost assistance and reduced mortgage insurance premiums through participating lenders.

Qualified industry professionals volunteer their time as instructors and teach home buyer education to potential or existing home owners in a traditional classroom setting. Pocatello Neighborhood Housing Services is a regional training partner for the IPHBE and offers free home buyer education classes in Pocatello the first four Wednesdays of each month.
