Finally Home!
Home Buyer Education Classes Start in Lewiston on Monday (May
22)
LEWISTON - Finally
Home!
classes will take place on May 22 through May 24 (Monday through
Wednesday) from 6 – 8:30 p.m., the Idaho
Partners for Home Buyer Education, Inc. (IPHBE) (HOTLINK)
announced today. Students should pre-register by calling the Community
Action Agency at 746-3351.
The classes are specifically designed
to teach first-time home buyers
everything they need to know about buying a home—from how to qualify
for a mortgage with bad credit or no credit and how much cash is
needed for closing, to how to choose a Realtor® and how to
make an offer.
Students who complete the class may be
eligible for special incentives such as down-payment and closing cost
assistance and reduced mortgage insurance premiums through participating
lenders.
Qualified industry professionals
volunteer their time as instructors and teach home buyer education to
potential or existing home owners in a traditional classroom setting.
The Community Action
Agency is a regional training partner for the IPHBE and offers
free home buyer education
classes regularly.
The Idaho Partners for Home Buyer
Education, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. They manage and
implement the program’s four objectives: to develop programs of
quality standardized home buying and home ownership education; to
facilitate wide delivery of its home buying and home owner educational
programs throughout Idaho; to target its educational programs to reach
diversified markets, including various socioeconomic
groups—specifically low and moderate-income households and
first-time home buyers; and to enhance the lives of citizens
throughout Idaho, as well as the participating communities, by
providing better home buying and home ownership education.
