Officials Appoints IHFA Executive to Serve on Board of Governors
BOISE - The National Association of Housing
and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) has appointed Vice President of
Community Housing Services, Julie Williams, to serve on its Board of
Governors through October of 2003, the Idaho Housing and Finance
Association announced.
The Board of Governors is the governing and
policy-making body for NAHRO, the leading advocate for the provision
of adequate and affordable housing and strong, viable communities
for all Americans, particularly those with low and moderate incomes.
Julie Williams has served as IHFA's vice president
of Community Housing Services since December 1992 and is responsible
for annual allocations in excess of $20 million of federal housing
assistance and development funds to Idaho. Prior to joining IHFA,
Julie has over 10 years' experience in financial services'
management positions in banking, credit union and securities
brokerage organizations.
"Ms. Williams' knowledge and experience will be
invaluable to the association during these times of unprecedented
change for the housing and community development profession,"
said NAHRO's (Incoming) President Kurt Creager. "Her
participation will ensure that NAHRO remains committed to and works
for innovative programs and services that add value to our
neighborhoods and encourage sustainable communities."
The National Association of Housing and
Redevelopment Officials is a 68-year-old membership organization of
8,500 housing and community development professionals throughout the
United States. NAHRO ensures that housing and community development
professionals have the leadership skills and education to serve
communities; advocates for appropriate laws and policies; and

accountability.
