2003 Idaho Governor's Conference on Housing Slated for Oct. 6-8 in Boise
BOISE -
The 2003 Idaho Governor's Conference on Housing, a dynamic three-day event bringing together several key housing industry groups and nearly 500 attendees, will be held Oct. 6-8 in Boise. The conference-held every three years-features over 20 planning partners working closely with the Idaho Housing and Finance Association to create a forum for dialogue and collaboration on our state's affordable housing issues. The conference features sessions focused on the following industry groups:
- banking and lending
- building and developing
- real estate ownership and sales
- public sector
Highlights of the conference will include key industry representatives and many visionary and insightful national keynote speakers. The conference's 24 workshops offer housing professionals opportunities to learn and exchange ideas with the state's most effective leaders and affordable housing partners. Speakers tentatively include Governor Dirk Kempthorne, Tucker Carlson, political analyst and CNN "Crossfire" co-host, HUD Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing Michael Liu, national inspirational speaker Liz Murray (discussing her rise from homelessness to attending Harvard), and an encore presentation by HGTV "Dream Builders" Host Scott Morgan.
