IHFA Inaugurates Idaho Chapter of Affordable Housing Management Association

BOISE - Idaho Housing and Finance Association will coordinate the opening of an Idaho Chapter of the Affordable Housing Management Association during the 2003 Idaho Governor's Conference on Housing. AHMA represents managers, owners, and professional service providers committed to maintaining excellence in affordable housing communities.

The Idaho Chapter of AHMA will hold its inaugural session at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the Salmon River Room at the Boise Centre on the Grove. Registration to the conference is not necessary to attend the meeting.

"The aim of this first meeting will be to establish membership, create the initial agenda for the organization, and establish a Board of Directors," said Bill Ward, IHFA Housing Compliance manager. "Assisting with this kick-off will be the national and neighboring state AHMA organizations, with the intent of developing a coalition within the Northwest for affordable housing property management agents, owners and participating administrative entities."

The national organization (NAHMA) is the voice in Washington for 17 regional affordable housing management associations nationwide.

The new Idaho Chapter already has a Web site in place. For more information about the new chapter, please visit www.ahma-nw.org/idaho.html.
