Home Buyer Education Receives $5,000 Contribution from Wells Fargo Housing Foundation

BOISE - The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation recently contributed $5,000 to the Finally Home!® Home Buyer Education program administered by the Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education (IPHBE), to assist with educational contract expenses, textbooks and other class materials and program administration. Overall, Wells Fargo has now contributed a total of $40,000 to the home buyer education program since 1999. Idaho Housing and Finance Association contributes administrative support to Finally Home!®

"The mission of our Housing Foundation is to provide resources to nonprofit organizations and to Wells Fargo team members to meet the local homeownership needs of low- to moderate-income people," said Jo Lewis, Wells Fargo's regional emerging markets manager for Idaho.

"The programs provided by the Housing Foundation demonstrate Wells Fargo Home Mortgage's commitment to provide financial services to all of its customers, including low- to moderate-income community members," she added.

The Home Buyer Education program is provided by the IPHBE, a nonprofit organization that has joined with local partners in Idaho to offer Finally Home!® classes every month statewide. Class content covers everything from qualifying for a mortgage and choosing a real estate professional, to making an offer and closing.

Finally Home!® has graduated more than 10,000 future Idaho home owners since its inception and anticipates graduating a total of 2,400 in 2004.
