Susan Semba, mortgage services senior manager for the Idaho Housing and Finance Association, has been elected president of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women (NAPMW) for the period May 2005-May 2006.
Semba is currently president of the Idaho Mortgage Bankers Association and has been active in NAPMW for several years. She is a past president of the local chapter of the organization and was recently national vice president of the Northwestern Region.
Semba has been with IHFA for 20 years and in the mortgage banking industry since 1976. She began at IHFA as a loan administration officer in 1984, and has been manager of the department for the last 12 years.
"I am looking forward to the opportunity as national president of NAPMW," said Semba. NAPMW began 40 years ago in Seattle and has grown nationally to over 4,000 members, according to Semba. NAPMW partners with industry leaders, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and HUD to offer training opportunities across the country including Web-based classes.
"My goal this year is to foster these and more relationships in order for NAPMW to become the industry's number one source for education," Semba added.
