Home Buyer Education Receives $5,000 Contribution from KeyBank's KeyFoundation
(BOISE) KeyBank's KeyFoundation recently contributed $5,000 to the Finally Home!® Home Buyer Education program administered by the Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education (IPHBE). The contribution will assist with educational contract expenses, textbooks, other class materials and program administration. KeyBank contributed a total of $10,000 to the program in 2003 and 2004.
"We at KeyBank are very proud to support Finally Home!® in all the fine work they do in educating potential home buyers," said Mark Freer, KeyBank's senior relationship manager, Consumer Lending, who also frequently serves as a volunteer instructor in the Boise location. "It is a great way to give back to the community and set up individuals for future financial success."
The home buyer education program is provided by the IPHBE, a nonprofit organization that has joined with local partners in Idaho to offer Finally Home!® classes every month statewide. Class content covers everything from qualifying for a mortgage and choosing a real estate professional, to making an offer and closing.
Finally Home!® has graduated more than 11,000 future Idaho home owners since its inception and anticipates graduating a total of 2,400 in 2004.
