Idaho AHMA Chapter Offers Training for Property Managers and Affordable Housing Advocates

BOISE - Property managers, on-site personnel and professionals involved in the affordable housing industry are encouraged to attend a two-day workshop, Basics of Program Compliance, held statewide in late January and early February. The training is co-sponsored by the Idaho chapter of the Affordable Housing Management Association and the Idaho Housing and Finance Association.

"The training combines basic elements common to the Section 8 program, Tax Credit program, and the HOME program," said Bill Ward, IHFA Housing Compliance Manager and AHMA Advisor. "It will provide hands-on instruction for those responsible for accepting applications, determining eligibility, obtaining third-party verifications and calculating income."

The 40 spots for the first training in Boise next week are already full, so anyone interested in attending the second Boise training on Feb. 10-11 is encouraged to register soon. Below is the schedule for the statewide trainings:

The cost of the workshop is $50 per attendee.
