Idaho AHMA Training in Lewiston, Coeur d'Alene for Property Managers and Affordable Housing Advocates Rescheduled for March

BOISE - The two-day workshops for property managers, on-site personnel and professionals involved in the affordable housing industry in Lewiston and Coeur d'Alene have been rescheduled to late March. The training, Basics of Program Compliance, is co-sponsored by the Idaho chapter of the Affordable Housing Management Association and the Idaho Housing and Finance Association.

Here are the new dates for the trainings:

Lewiston March 22-23 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day Red Lion Hotel, 621 21st St.
Coeur d'Alene March 24-25 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day Ameritel Inn, 333 Ironwood Drive

"The training combines basic elements common to the Section 8 program, Tax Credit program, and the HOME program," said Bill Ward, IHFA housing compliance manager and AHMA Advisor. "It will provide hands-on instruction for those responsible for accepting applications, determining eligibility, obtaining third-party verifications and calculating income."

The cost of the workshop is $50 per attendee. To register, please contact IHFA's Contract Compliance Department at (208) 331-4733 or e-mail sarad@ihfa.org.

AHMA represents managers, owners, and professional service providers committed to maintaining excellence in affordable housing communities. Membership also will be discussed during the training. Owners, managers, builders, developers, housing authorities, syndicators, nonprofit housing organizations, accountants, architects, lenders, attorneys and other related professionals directly involved in affordable housing can benefit from membership in AHMA, which acts in an information sharing and advocacy capacity for those groups. The national organization (NAHMA) is the voice in Washington, D.C., for 17 regional affordable housing management associations nationwide.
