Home Buyer Education Program Receives $5,000 Contributions Each From
Wells Fargo Foundation and Wells Fargo Housing Foundation
BOISE - The Wells Fargo Foundation and the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation each recently contributed $5,000 to the Finally Home!® Home Buyer Education Program administered by the Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education (IPHBE). The contributions will assist with educational contract expenses associated with providing education for first-time home buyers in Idaho.
The Home Buyer Education program is provided by the IPHBE, a nonprofit organization that has joined with local partners in Idaho to offer Finally Home!® classes every month statewide. Class content covers everything from qualifying for a mortgage and choosing a real estate professional, to making an offer on a home and closing.
"Wells Fargo is a partner we value highly in our effort to educate low-to-moderate income, first-time home buyers," said Sue Pisani, statewide program administrator "This includes not only their monetary commitment, but the willingness of their personnel to volunteer as instructors."
Wells Fargo, through its various foundations, has contributed $50,000 to the Finally Home!® Home Buyer Education Program since the program's inception in 1999. In addition to the contribution, 14 Wells Fargo loan officers are also volunteer instructors in the program.
"Wells Fargo is committed to promoting the economic advancement of everyone in the communities we serve and to providing home ownership opportunities," said Jane Pavek, Wells Fargo's vice president and community development officer. "Achieving the American dream of owning your own home begins with information and knowledge."
Finally Home!® has graduated more than 13,850 future Idaho home owners since its inception.
