Idaho Housing and Finance Association Announces Personnel Changes Moving Up: John Sager, Julie Williams, Steven Rehn
(BOISE) Idaho Housing and Finance Association's Executive Director and President, Gerald Hunter, announces the following hirings and promotions:
John Sager
John Sager was recently named IHFA Senior Vice President. He also serves as Chief Financial Officer. Sager has been with IHFA for almost 10 years and has over 30 years of experience in financial management, bond issuance, banking, and asset/liability management for public entities. Along with the continuation of his current assignments including the oversight of IHFA's Treasury, Accounting and Information Technology departments, Sager also has assumed responsibility for directing the Multifamily Finance Department that deals with the financing of tax credit and multi-family developments.
Julie Williams
Julie Williams also was recently named a Senior Vice President. Williams has been with IHFA for more than 13 years and has worked in the financial services industry for the last 28 years with experience in investment and lending activities. Her responsibilities include oversight of IHFA's Community Housing Services, the statewide administration of the federal HOME program, and HUD Homeless Assistance Grant programs. She also coordinates HUD Low Rent Public Housing and Section 8 Rental Assistance programs, the statewide Housing Information and Referral Center, and IHFA's Housing Compliance Department.
Steven Rehn
Steven Rehn recently joined IHFA as Housing Compliance Manager. His responsibilities include monitoring and oversight activities for federal Section 8 rental assistance developments, Tax Credit projects, and HOME-related projects. He previously worked for the City of Boise as an internal auditor and has worked in and/or managed audit and compliance departments in financial services for 11 years.
IHFA is a uniquely created and organized financial institution and administrator of affordable housing resources. IHFA is involved in a wide variety of housing activities, from rental assistance, apartment complex financing, and special needs housing, to coordination of homeless services and resource identification. IHFA is involved in providing home loans for Idaho's low- to moderate-income and first-time home buyers. IHFA has issued home loans for 28 years. In the last 10 years, IHFA has invested $2 billion for nearly 25,000 Idaho home loans.
