Gagner Joins IHFA Board

(Boise) Gov. James E. Risch has appointed Mr. Lee Gagner of Idaho Falls to the Idaho Housing and Finance Association’s board of commissioners.

Gagner, a Real Estate Builder/Developer, brings nearly 30 years of real estate experience to IHFA. He is president/owner of Re/Max Homestead Realty, a residential brokerage firm; L&L Rentals, a property management company; Homestead Construction, Inc., a residential housing construction firm; Homestead Development, a land development company; and serves as vice president/owner of Idaho Bus Bench, Inc., a real estate advertising company. He was a member of the Idaho State Legislature from 1996 to 2004 and served as legislative advisor to IHFA’s board from 1996 to 1998.

“Idaho Housing and Finance Association is pleased to welcome someone with Gagner’s expertise to our board,” said Gerald Hunter, IHFA’s president and executive director. “Lee’s background will be invaluable in addressing Idaho’s critical housing needs, such as community workforce housing and affordable senior housing alternatives.”

Recently, Mr. Gagner served on committees to choose a state park location in Eastern Idaho and to select the new Idaho State University President. He received an associate degree in management and a bachelor’s degree in education from Minot State University in Minot, N.D.

Mr. Gagner was appointed to the board July 1, replacing Bessie Katsilometes, who retired from the board after twelve years of service. Mr. Gagner’s term expires July 1, 2010.
