Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education Program Receives $5,000
from Home Federal Foundation

(BOISE) Home Federal Foundation recently contributed $5,000 to the Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education Program administered by the Idaho Partners for Homebuyer Education, Inc. (IPHBE, Inc.).

“We are very pleased that our Foundation is able to participate in this very important program for the state of Idaho. Education is a key component to successful homeownership for first-time home buying families,” said Dan Stevens, Chairman of Home Federal Foundation. “Home Federal Bank has always been an active supporter of Finally Home!®, and we are glad that the Foundation has been able to continue this tradition.”

The funds will be used to assist with operating expenses, such as reimbursement of the training partners, in Home Federal Bank’s service areas of Ada, Canyon, Elmore, and Gem Counties, as well as cost of printing and distribution of the homebuyer education textbooks.

“Home Federal has been a financial supporter of the program for several years. Their support of our program in these counties enables us to reach and educate more prospective, first-time homebuyers,” said Sue Pisani, Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education Administrator. “Loan officers from Home Federal have also served as volunteer instructors for our classroom program. Their continued participation in the Finally Home!® program contributes to our success.”

IPHBE, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that has joined with local partners in Idaho to offer Finally Home!® Homebuyer Education classes every month statewide. Class content covers issues including credit and budgeting, qualifying for a mortgage, choosing a real estate professional, and making an offer on a home and closing.

Finally Home!® has graduated more than 17,000 future Idaho homeowners since its inception in 1999; and expects to educate more than 2,700 potential homeowners in 2007.
