Home Buyer Education Program Receives a $5,000
Contribution from Bank of America
(BOISE) Bank of America Charitable Foundation has contributed $5,000 to the Finally Home!® Home Buyer Education Program administered by the Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education, Inc. (IPHBE, Inc.). The contribution will assist with educational contract expenses, program administration, textbooks, and other class materials.

Bank of America, a contributor to the Home Buyer Education program since 2001, has contributed a total of $21,000 to Finally Home!®. Additionally, Bank of America employees serve as volunteer instructors for the classes.

"Bank of America is a long-time supporter of Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education, and its Finally Home!® program, because it provides the financial education necessary to help people buy a home that fits their budget and needs. In today’s housing market, such education and counseling is more important than ever," said Kurt Walsdorf, Idaho Market President, Bank of America. "We look forward to welcoming the next round of Finally Home!® participants into their new homes."

The Home Buyer Education program is provided by IPHBE, Inc., a nonprofit organization that has joined with local partners in Idaho to offer Finally Home!® classes every month statewide. Class content covers issues including credit and budgeting, qualifying for a mortgage, choosing a real estate professional, and making an offer and closing on a home.

"Bank of America has been a valued partner since our inception," said Sue Pisani, Finally Home!® Administrator. "It is through the support of organizations like Bank of America that our program is able to fully serve the citizens of Idaho."

More than 18,500 Idahoans have graduated from the Finally Home!® program since it began in 1999.
