Home Buyer Education Program receives $11,000 in contributions from Key Foundation

(BOISE) Key Foundation has contributed $11,000 over the past two years to the Finally Home!® Home Buyer Education Program administered by the Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education, Inc. (IPHBE, Inc.). Key Foundation contributed $5,000 in 2007 and $6,000 in 2008. These contributions will assist with educational contract expenses, program administration, textbooks, and other class materials.

Key Foundation, a contributor to the Home Buyer Education program since 2003, has contributed a total of $29,000 to Finally Home!®. Additionally, KeyBank employees serve as volunteer instructors for the classes.

"We at KeyBank are very proud to support in all the fine work they do in educating potential homebuyers," said Mark Freer, Senior Mortgage Advisor for KeyBank. "It is a great way to give back to the community and set up individuals for future financial success."

The Home Buyer Education program is provided by IPHBE, Inc., a nonprofit organization that has joined with local partners in Idaho to offer Finally Home!® classes every month statewide. Class content covers issues including credit and budgeting, qualifying for a mortgage, choosing a real estate professional, and making an offer and closing on a home.

"Key Foundation has been a valued partner since our inception," said Sue Pisani, Finally Home!® Administrator. "It is through the support of organizations like theirs that our program is able to fully serve the citizens of Idaho."

More than 18,500 Idahoans have graduated from the Finally Home!® program since it began in 1999.
