$10,000 contributed to Finally Home!® Home Buyer Education
Program from Wells Fargo

(BOISE) Wells Fargo Foundation and Wells Fargo Housing Foundation recently contributed $5,000 each to the Home Buyer Education Program administered by the Idaho Partners for Home Buyer Education, Inc. (IPHBE, Inc.). In total, Wells Fargo has contributed $90,000 to the program, $5,000 of which was dedicated to translation of the course textbook into Spanish.

"Wells Fargo is committed to promoting the economic advancement of everyone in the communities we serve and creating homeownership opportunities," said Jane Pavek, Wells Fargo Vice President and Community Development Officer. "Working with organizations such as IPHBE and its Finally Home!® program provides consumers the information they need to make good financial decisions as they prepare to become homeowners."

The funds contributed will be used to assist Finally Home!® with its operating expenses, such as reimbursement of the training partners, as well as costs of printing and distribution of the homebuyer education textbooks statewide.

"Wells Fargo has been a financial supporter of the program for several years. Their support enables us to reach and educate more first-time homebuyers," said Sue Pisani, Finally Home!® Home Buyer Education Administrator. "Loan officers from Wells Fargo have also served as volunteer instructors for our classroom program. Their continued participation in the Finally Home!® program contributes to our success."

Finally Home!® eight-hour classes are offered statewide by regional training partners in Post Falls, Lewiston, Boise, Caldwell, Twin Falls, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls. In addition to covering all the steps necessary to purchase a home, Finally Home!® course also covers budgeting and credit issues, predatory lending, and steps to take if a homeowner is facing foreclosure. More than 19,500 Idahoans have graduated from the Finally Home!® program since it began in 1999.
