Housing
Compliance
Maintaining Idaho's Affordable Housing Stock
IHFA currently administers and
monitors regulatory and program requirements established for nearly 12,000 units throughout the state. The developments are
funded through Association activities that include HUD Section 8 New
Construction, Bond Financing, Housing Tax Credit Allocation, HOME Loans and Grants, as well as Idaho Community Reinvestment Corporation (ICRC).
Housing Compliance's resources are used to assure that households with individuals that meet program qualifications are provided with decent, safe, and sanitary housing.
To achieve these goals,
audits are conducted to assure that:
- Only qualified households are admitted into the developments.
- Owners and Management Agents develop budgets for, and perform
preventive maintenance, and up-grades to keep developments in like new
condition.
- Owners and Management Agents comply with specific program and
regulatory requirements.
These
activities are designed to maintain Idaho?s affordable housing stock
into the 21st century.
