Neighborhood Stabilization Program
Idaho received $19.6 million from the 2008 Housing and Economic Recovery Act to fund eligible entities who will use NSP dollars to acquire and rehab foreclosed or abandoned properties to either resell them to eligible homebuyers (up to 120% AMI) or keep as rental housing for special needs populations. The purpose of this emergency funding is to stabilize neighborhoods who may be reeling from the effects of the foreclosure crisis. This is not foreclosure prevention.
